Choir singing
Malgosia has been singing in choirs since she was twelve years old. She very much enjoyed being part of of the School Choir (1987-1994), the Female Choir (1988-1994), the Music Academy of Gdansk choir (1994-2002) and the University of Gdansk choir (1995-1997), taking part in several international choir festivals throughout Europe. She has participated in international choir competitions in Germany, Czech Republic and Italy.
It was very exciting to make her hobby her profession: between 2002 and 2004 she was a member of the opera choir at the Baltic Opera of Gdansk. She performed in the following productions:
- Norma (Bellini)
- Ernani (Verdi)
- The Haunted Manor (Moniuszko)
- Czardas Princess (Kalman)
- Tosca (Puccini)
- Faust (Gounod)
She currently accompanies several choirs on the piano and organ.
Other hobbies
Besides her love of singing, Malgosia also likes to spend time in the garden, reading a good book, snorkeling in the beautiful waters of Curacao or crawling behind a photo camera, trying to capture a perfect picture. Examples of her efforts can be found here.
